How can you protect your StockNotify account and alerts?
StockNotify protects account access with standard web application controls such as authenticated sessions, HTTPS, password hashing, and protected dashboard routes. Users should still use strong passwords, keep email accounts secure, and avoid treating any alert workflow as a guaranteed trading control.
Security controls in the product
Account data relies on authenticated access and server-side authorization. Search-indexing controls serve a different purpose: noindex asks compliant search engines not to list a page, while robots.txt gives crawling instructions. Neither control secures private information or prevents a person from requesting a URL.
- The application is configured for HTTPS deployment and security headers; deployment settings determine what is served.
- Private dashboard and API data require account-access checks, independent of crawler instructions.
- Login and register pages use noindex to reduce search exposure; they remain publicly accessible entry points.
User responsibilities
Users should keep their account credentials private, avoid password reuse, and protect the email address connected to their StockNotify account. Telegram and email notifications are only as private as the destination accounts receiving them.
How should you handle a Telegram link request?
Confirm a Telegram account link only when you requested it from your own StockNotify settings. The chat ID identifies a destination; the confirmation inside Telegram completes the link. If you change the receiving account, unlink the old destination and test the new one. Pause delivery when a destination should no longer receive account notifications.
How do you report a possible security issue?
Contact service@stocknotify.in with the affected page, approximate time, and a description of the unexpected access or behavior. Share enough detail to explain the issue without sending passwords, tokens, or another user's personal data. Redact screenshots and stop any action that exposes information belonging to someone else. Use the private support channel to share the report.
Beta limitations
StockNotify is currently in beta. Security and reliability work should be treated as an ongoing process, and users should report issues that affect account access, alerts, or data visibility.
