What is a stock watchlist app?
StockNotify's watchlist lets you save instruments in My Stocks, review displayed prices, and open a chart or alert setup for a selected symbol. Predefined market lists are available in separate tabs. Adding a stock to a list does not create a notification condition.
Chartbook scans the predefined lists in a grid or full-chart view; it does not currently scan your custom My Stocks selection. Use the watchlist to decide which symbols deserve attention, then save a separate price alert or trade setup for the levels you want monitored.

How do you add a stock to My Stocks?
Open Your watchlists and select My Stocks. Use Search or add stock, enter at least two characters, and choose the intended instrument from the results. Check the exchange as well as the company name. The product prevents adding the same instrument twice to this list. Search belongs to My Stocks; predefined tabs show their supplied list instead of your additions.
What is the difference between My Stocks and predefined lists?
My Stocks contains instruments you add or remove. Predefined tabs provide market groups for browsing. The Chartbook shortcut uses the selected predefined list; when opened from My Stocks, it starts with Nifty 50. This means changing My Stocks does not change the Chartbook grid. Check the list name before interpreting which stocks you are scanning.
How do you turn a watched stock into an alert?
Open the selected stock's chart when you need context, then use the alert workspace to save a condition. A one-time price alert needs a crossing direction and threshold; a trade setup uses entry, stop-loss, and target levels. Check the saved instrument and condition in the alert list. Removing a name from My Stocks is not the same action as deleting an alert, so manage obsolete conditions in the alert workspace too.
What should you check when a displayed price looks old?
Confirm the symbol, exchange, and market session, then compare the displayed value with a current trusted quote. A missing refresh does not mean the price stayed unchanged. If a price or search result remains unavailable, record the instrument and time for support. Keep the reason for each watched stock clear and remove names you no longer review, while checking active alerts separately.
