How do you connect StockNotify to Telegram?

Open the StockNotify bot in Telegram and send /start. Copy the chat ID from its reply, sign in to StockNotify, open Dashboard → Telegram settings, and paste the ID into the link control. Select Link Telegram, then return to the bot and confirm the account link within 10 minutes. The confirmation establishes access to the receiving Telegram account before the link is saved. Only confirm a request you started for your own StockNotify account; if it expires, request a fresh link from settings.

What information can a Telegram alert contain?

The current alert service can format a message with the trading symbol, observed price, saved entry, stop-loss and target checkpoints, position direction, trade type, workflow level, status, and an India-time timestamp. Those values reflect the user's saved plan and the application's observation. They are not an exchange trade confirmation, broker order, audited profit-and-loss statement, or recommendation.

How can you check or remove the Telegram link?

The bot supports /status to check whether the Telegram conversation is linked and /help to show the setup steps. The authenticated dashboard also requests the linked and enabled status. Users can unlink the destination from the product, and the bot supports /unlink. Re-link after changing the receiving account instead of leaving an old chat ID attached.

Why might Telegram delivery fail?

The bot cannot deliver to an invalid chat ID or to a user who has blocked it. Telegram can rate-limit requests, networks can fail, and the StockNotify beta service may be restarting or unavailable. The backend retries some temporary sends and disables delivery for certain permanent errors, but retries do not make delivery guaranteed. If an alert matters, verify the price independently and keep email or another monitoring path available.

What should you do when an expected message is missing?

First check the alert itself, then the dashboard event or status, the linked Telegram account, and whether the bot is blocked. Send /status, confirm the saved chat ID belongs to the current conversation, and test again. When contacting support, include the symbol, approximate India-time timestamp, expected checkpoint, and whether the event appeared in the dashboard. Never send a password, session cookie, or one-time authentication code.

Where does Telegram fit in a safer workflow?

Use Telegram to regain attention, then open a current broker or trusted market-data view before making a decision. Check the instrument, price, session, liquidity, and the reason saved for the level. A message can be useful even when no action follows; its job is to prompt review. StockNotify does not place orders, guarantee a fill, or determine whether the user's checkpoint is suitable.
